PV Europe’s picks of the week – from batteries to light roofs

JA Solar is expanding its storage portfolio with two new products: Planet Fusion, a DC hybrid system that combines inverter, battery and backup in one unit, and Planet 2.0, the latest generation of its AC commercial storage system.

Electrofleet is buying 40 MWh of battery storage from Fenecon. The German truck charging specialist plans to use it to ease grid bottlenecks at fleet depots and support high-power charging at its public sites.

Solcliv has brought out a mounting system for lightweight modules that adds just 0.5 kg per square metre. It is designed for commercial, industrial and warehouse roofs that cannot carry the weight of conventional PV.

SAX Power has given its energy management system a mobile interface. The new Manager app works with the Manager Pro and Manager Plug-In, controls solar, storage, heat and EV charging from a single screen and is free for iOS and Android. (nhp)
