The Manager app works with the SAX Power Manager Pro and Manager Plug-In energy management systems. From a single screen, users can monitor how energy flows between the PV system, the grid, the battery and connected loads, and control those flows directly.
The dashboard shows in real time how much solar power is being generated, used directly or stored, and how much is drawn from or fed into the grid. Users can also call up daily and monthly analyses, device-level energy reports and their self-sufficiency rate. The system measures and responds within seconds. Users can decide which loads take priority, choosing between the electric car, hot water, heating and the charging station. A three-day solar forecast suggests the best times to run household appliances.
The two versions differ in installation. The Manager Pro mounts on a DIN rail in the distribution board, while the Plug-In needs no work on the board at all. Both are compatible with more than 700 devices from different manufacturers. The app itself is free for iOS and Android. (nhp)
