As heatwaves and storms intensify across Europe, combining green roofs with rooftop solar is gaining traction as a practical way to cool buildings, manage rainfall and generate clean power where it is needed most.

Presented in Berlin, the updated guide from Nürtingen-Geislingen University sets out design, vegetation and structural criteria for combining photovoltaics with green roofs, drawn from real-world reference projects.
