We stand with Ukraine – open a new market

The war in Ukraine is more than territorial aggression. It is also an effort by the fossil and nuclear energy sector to resist the global energy transition. At the heart of the conflict is the coal-rich Donbas region, a key energy resource. Pipelines, gas exports to Europe, and nuclear plants like Chernobyl and Zaporizhzhia are all part of the equation, while Russia’s nuclear influence is under growing pressure from the rise of renewables.

We support all those working to solarise Ukraine. Only renewable energy can bring lasting peace and reconciliation, open new markets and strengthen cooperation across borders.

Here you’ll find updates on solar projects in Ukraine, the development of a strong market for photovoltaics and battery storage, and opportunities for local collaboration.
