All double-glass modules without frames from two by three millimetres have been granted DIBt certification. Thanks to the certification, the glass-glass modules are now considered regulated building products (analogous to classic laminated safety glass) and no longer require individual approval per project.

The general building approval is granted upon application by the manufacturer or supplier for construction products or types of construction. For the assessment, both experimental tests and an expert opinion must be submitted to the responsible expert committee of the DIBt, showing the suitability of the product for the selected area of application.
