Solar module manufacturer Solitek has developed a new range of alpine solar modules for high-altitude and snow-heavy environments. The background is the particular stresses found in mountain regions: heavy snow loads, strong winds, intense UV radiation and an increased risk of partial electrical discharges in the thinner atmosphere.

The planning software PV-Sol premium is gaining a new interface to data provider Rexplorer, allowing 3D models of a large share of buildings in Germany to be imported directly into the software. The models are based on official LiDAR scans and aerial imagery and provide distortion-free roof views.
