KEY – New integrated storage systems for residential and commercial applications unveiled

Ecoflow’s Ocean 2 Single-Phase combines a hybrid inverter with an Ocean 2 LFP 5 kWh battery module. Key updates include AFCI (Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupter) support, an upgraded battery with 10,000 cycles (previously 6,000), 3.4 kW discharge power, reduced weight (46 kg) and a more compact design, with a height of just 279 mm (without handle). The stackable OCEAN 2 LFP battery also features a 72-hour water immersion test and advanced protections such as Cloud-BMS and self-heating. The OCEAN 2 Single-Phase supports up to six 5 kWh batteries per inverter, enabling installers to size capacity accurately from the outset and expand the system later as electrification needs grow. Ecoflow also showcased its PowerOceanPls for light commercial and industrial applications, its HEMS (Home Energy Management System), PowerPuls 2.0 (7 kW) for electric vehicle charging, the heating rod PowerHeat and portable power stations.

Hyxi presented its latest generation of storage systems for residential and commercial use, including the MS3000AC storage unit with 3,014 kWh, 10,000 cycles, 10-year warranty, IP66 protection, a 3 kW bidirectional inverter, automotive-grade A+ cells, and AI-powered cloud connectivity. It supports PV self-consumption, backup power, and flexible grid interaction. For commercial applications, the Chinese manufacturer highlighted its three-phase grid inverter HYX-S150-125K-T and the Hyxi Atlas Liquid Cooling ESS with LFP batteries (125 kW/261 kWh) and integrated EMS. Solavita showcased its latest 3–6 kW high-voltage hybrid inverters in Rimini.

BYD presented its broad portfolio of storage solutions, ranging from gigawatt-scale grid-forming container batteries to its scalable high-voltage battery box HVB, which can be configured from 5.94 to 89.07 kWh. As the first manufacturer to equip its Battery Box with LFP blade batteries from its electric vehicles—considered safer and lighter than conventional batteries—the industry leader set a standard years ago with its stackable, scalable Battery Box design, which many other manufacturers have since adopted. BYD is also one of the few manufacturers to produce its own battery cells.

Austrian wallbox provider Go-E, active in the Italian market since last year, was also present in Rimini, demonstrating its intelligent charging systems designed for PV self-consumption and bidirectional charging. As Ronald Kroke, Head of Marketing, emphasised in conversation with pv Europe, managing charging is especially important in Italian households, where only a single-phase connection with low power (often just 3.7 kW) is common.
