At the heart of the Apollon 2.0 is a patented shingle matrix concept. Solar cells are cut into narrow strips and interconnected in an overlapping pattern, forming a network with multiple parallel current paths. In the event of partial shading, energy continues to flow even when individual cell areas are affected. The cells are joined using electrically conductive adhesive (ECA).
The bifacial glass-glass module delivers an output of 450 to 460 W and captures additional energy yields through the rear side. Heckert Solar provides a 30-year product and performance warranty. The full-black module is free of lead and PFAS, meeting the requirements of European funding and regulatory programmes for environmentally compatible materials and transparent supply chains. (nhp)
