DHL Group and LONGi have signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen cooperation on solar deployment and lower-emission logistics, pairing LONGi's panel and storage technology with DHL's global logistics network.

Under the agreement, LONGi's solar products, including its latest building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) technology based on back-contact cell architecture, will be deployed across DHL facilities in Europe. The partnership will also identify joint projects supporting DHL's ambition to become the preferred provider of green logistics solutions, while DHL expands its logistical support for LONGi's growing solar and battery storage business.
A partnership already in motion
The MoU builds on an existing logistics relationship. DHL already supports LONGi through express freight, ocean forwarding and industrial project services including factory relocation. The expanded scope covers B2C logistics, fulfilment services and dedicated support for LONGi's battery energy storage portfolio as the Chinese manufacturer scales globally.

"Beyond deploying LONGi's solar technology across our own operations, we are supporting their global expansion with integrated services that help bring their products to market faster," said Michael Wiedemann, President Energy Sector at DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation.
The collaboration covers six areas: BIPV and distributed solar deployment at DHL facilities; joint development of solar-plus-storage solutions for logistics applications; exploration of renewable hydrogen; early-access and co-creation initiatives to pilot LONGi technology within DHL's network; expanded logistics support for LONGi; and senior leadership engagement to assess progress and new opportunities.

The MoU sits within DHL's broader Strategy 2030, which identifies New Energy as a key growth sector and organises logistics solutions around eight segments including solar, wind, electric vehicles, battery storage and hydrogen. (TF)
