Solar Best Practices Platform launched

The new platform collates all of SolarPower Europe’s pioneering Best Practice Guidelines, Checklists and Mark as part of a Solar Best Practices Toolbox.

With solar experiencing unprecedented growth in Europe, it is more important than ever to ensure the long-term quality of solar projects. The Solar Best Practices Platform is supporting the sector in applying SolarPower Europe’s sector-defining best practice guidelines for building and managing solar projects. The new platform brings all the products of the lifecycle quality workstream under one roof and is designed as the definitive one-stop-shop for solar quality assurance in Europe.

One-stop-shop for solar quality experts – interactive checklists

Walburga Hemetsberger, CEO of SolarPower Europe said; “The energy transition cannot succeed without quality solar installations. This new platform will support the sector in delivering high quality, well-maintained, solar projects that invite public trust, investor confidence and underpin the massive growth of European solar.”

The Solar Best Practice digital platform makes it easier than ever to explore SolarPower Europe's free Best Practice Guidelines. The new interactive reports put the combined experience of over 30 experts to solar experts right at your fingertips, on the topics of:

Lifecycle Quality

Asset Management

Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC)

Operation & Maintenance (O&M)

Now a one-stop-shop for solar quality experts, the Solar Best Practice digital platform offers an interactive Checklists function to help service providers and clients to evaluate service quality transparently.

More transparency about solar services

With a new modern feel, the Solar Best Practice Mark allows companies to benchmark their performance and create more transparency in their solar services. Best Practice Marks are available for O&M and Asset Management, amongst others, are set of self-certification-based labels derived from SolarPower Europe’s guidelines.

The Solar Best Practices Digital Platform was launched during the second day of its annual Solar Quality Summit Europe event, co-organised with Intersolar. The Solar Quality Summit Europe brings together leading members of the O&M, Asset Management, and EPC communities to advance the long-term quality of Europe’s solar projects. (hcn)
