The result is a system composed of around 88 percent recycled materials overall. According to the manufacturer, this delivers a reduction in CO2 emissions of at least 50 percent compared to the previous Supra system. Sunbeam's mounting systems are made primarily from steel and aluminium, which account for the largest share of their carbon footprint.
Supra Resourced is available as a standalone product line on request, with traceability of the steel used and project-specific documentation of carbon reductions. Assembly is carried out in cooperation with social workshops. Sunbeam has analysed its total emissions across the materials supply chain through to the finished product and aims to achieve full carbon neutrality by 2040. (nhp)
