The updated system is designed to meet the practical demands of planners and installers. Its increased height creates new possibilities for integrating PV into existing green roof designs and offers greater flexibility for on‑site installation work.
In addition to the increased height, Solyco has redesigned the system’s connection technology. Two junction boxes with Stäubli MC4 connectors simplify cabling and speed up installation. As with all Solon models, the latest version uses bifacial double‑glass modules rated at 160 watts. The system is roof‑penetration‑free and designed for retrofitting PV installations on green commercial roofs with limited load capacity. Both Solon variants are now available. (nhp)
