Full power supply with intelligent energy management and solar power

Not only that renewable energies can produce electricity very cost-effectively on a decentralised basis, but also that electricity storage systems and intelligent energy management can relieve the strain on the grids is becoming more and more present in the minds of everyone who buys energy. The currently exploding electricity prices are doing the rest. With electricity storage systems ranging from home storage to commercial and industrial storage, the energy transition can succeed on a large and small scale.

But this is only possible if the systems operate with an intelligent energy management system (EMS). Then the surplus feed-in from photovoltaic systems can serve the grid, the energy flow in the direction of mobility and heat is optimised, and peak loads from electric vehicle charging are covered by the storage unit instead of letting them affect the grid.

Storage systems as attractive business model

For example, we equip all our electricity storage systems with an intelligent and self-learning energy management system based on the "operating system of the energy transition" Open EMS - an open-source software, for example, to avoid PV curtailment or to make time-variable electricity tariffs usable. Only if we succeed in integrating storage units aggregated into virtual power plants with their generation plants and controllable consumers into the energy markets and grid control will we achieve the 100 per cent energy transition for electricity, heat and mobility.

For energy suppliers and grid operators, storage units with intelligent energy management represent the bridge to modern electricity tariffs as energy partners and make it possible to avoid or postpone grid expansion measures in the distribution grid. The sale and/or management of storage systems become new, attractive business models, increase supply security and optimise the energy infrastructure. In turn, trade and industry benefit not only from reduced energy costs but also from lower grid expansion and grid utilisation costs, so that storage units can also pay for themselves very quickly.
