UK – Solis announces UK arrival with NHS battery project

The installation features six 109 kWh Solis PrimePower commercial batteries, each connected to a Solis 50 kW hybrid inverter. Working in parallel, the units provide more than 600 kWh of storage capacity, allowing the hospital to make better use of its rooftop solar generation. Energy that would previously have been curtailed during the day can now be stored and used during high-demand periods or overnight, lowering electricity costs and strengthening energy resilience across the site.

Mark Smith, Director at ZLC Energy: "The wider renewable energy system we've delivered here will now generate between 2.5 and 3 GWh of electricity annually, enough to offset approximately 75 percent of the hospital's electricity usage, and reducing carbon emissions by approximately 600 tonnes annually."
