IBC Solar: An all-rounder mounting system for pitched roofs

With the Topfix 200, the system provider IBC Solar has developed an in-house mounting system for universal installation on pitched roofs with general building inspectorate approval from the DIBt.

One of the highlights of Solar Solutions in Kortrijk was the competition European Solar Games Belgium. Installers competed the coveted "Golden Roof Hook", where quality, safety and speed of installation were crucial.

Strong focus on PV roofs and self-consumption in Belgium

The Belgian PV market is developing dynamically, especially in the residential sector around self-consumption solutions. The quality awareness is high. This was demonstrated at the Solar Solutions trade fair, which was held for the first time in Kortrijk (Flanders).

Solar modules:

New module formats up to 490 watts with larger wafers

CS Wismar introduces three new formats for its glass-foil and glass-glass modules. By using half cells and wafers of 182 square millimetres, the new modules achieve up to 490 watts.

Mounting systems:

Memodo now distributes mounting systems for pitched roofs from K2

Memodo is now working together with K2 Systems. This enables the wholesaler to offer more solar mounting systems for tiled, interlocking sheet metal and trapezoidal sheet metal roofs. Memodo will first take on the mounting systems for pitched roofs from K2 Systems.

Especially in the eastern part of Germany rooftops of single and two-family houses are in many cases not yet utilized for PV installations.
EUPD Research:

Germany: Huge solar potential for residential rooftop installations still unexploited

By the end of 2020, around 1.3 million photovoltaic systems were installed on one- and two-family houses in Germany. An analysis by EUPD Research confirms an overall saturation of eleven percent.
