Solitek, a solar module manufacturer based in Vilnius, has been supplying both financial aid and solar modules to Ukraine since the early days of the war. The recent targeted destruction of Ukraine's energy infrastructure has made electricity supply a critical issue, particularly in war zones where it is even more vital.
Aware of the urgent needs in Ukraine and responding to requests from its people, SoliTek is providing its solar modules for humanitarian purposes. These modules are being used to construct mobile power generation stations, which serve critical roles such as charging reconnaissance drones for soldiers and powering mobile medical stations for medics. Compact, lightweight, and easy to transport, these stations are in high demand. Their key advantages include silent operation and the absence of fuel as a consumable.
Functional off-grid PV solution
In March of 2025, mobile power generation stations were developed using SoliTek modules and BIPA solutions, providing essential energy support for Ukrainian soldiers at their posts. Building on this success, Ukrainians, together with the Lithuanian charity "Jonaviečiai padeda," which coordinated the project, began scaling this highly functional off-grid solution by creating portable, mobile power generation stations.

Equipped with solar modules and essential ancillary equipment, these mobile solar power stations are compactly packed into cases similar in size to a small suitcase. They are now being deployed across war zones, reaching even the most remote locations.
Look for further partners
Both the Foundation and SoliTek have received substantial feedback from Ukrainian soldiers highlighting the benefits of the solar systems. To meet the high demand, the Foundation is organising part of the assembly work in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. Acknowledging the critical need for on-site and timely charging of reconnaissance drones, as well as the vital role of providing power to medics to save lives, SoliTek continues to supply solar modules for the production of these stations.
Ukraine: Over 550 MW PV systems destroyed or damaged
Unfortunately, solar modules alone cannot generate energy without additional components. Securing sponsors to provide batteries, inverters, voltage converters and other essential equipment is equally crucial. The "Jonaviečiai padeda" Charity and Support Foundation actively seeks partners to support the purchase and assembly of these components. (hcn)
