PV Europe’s picks of the week – storage gets smarter

Samduo's Nex E6000 is a plug-in storage system with six kilowatt hours of capacity, just 11.9 centimetres deep and developed specifically for residential properties in Europe with more solar ambitions than space.

Kostal's Plenticore BI 25 battery inverter can be combined with the Piko CI G2 commercial inverter, available in 30, 50 and 100 kW versions, with the split between solar and battery inverter functions allowing the Piko CI G2 to be installed close to the solar generator and shortening DC cable runs.

AlphaESS's Storion-LC 836 delivers 835.9 kWh per cabinet and scales to 6.7 MWh when eight units are connected in parallel. Built as an integrated outdoor cabinet with liquid-cooled architecture, it features a quick-connect system for front-side cabling, with standardised transport reducing installation complexity.

A new storage brand E3/DC brings three-tier modular capacity from five to 40 kilowatt-hours, LFP cells rated for over 6,000 cycles and a decade of expected service life.

The Intellihome from Solis is a low-voltage system available in five, ten or 16 kWh configurations, with variants for indoor (IP20) and outdoor (IP66) installation. (nhp)
