Fenecon adds hybrid-inverter storage to C&I range

The system allows an input power of up to 200 kW, allowing the PV array to be oversized by a factor of two relative to the inverter capacity. The control system coordinates solar yields, battery charging and active load management during curtailment by the grid operator. A dynamic ripple control receiver makes it possible to use the available power to reduce yield losses caused by curtailment.

Designed as an indoor system, the storage unit is compact and can be installed without a special siting concept. The inverters are not connected directly to the internet but linked to the FEMS box, which communicates with servers in Germany, though operation without an internet connection is also possible. Backup power capability is provided in combination with the optional STS box, and a generator input is also available. (nhp)
