Solar parks:

Blue Elephant adds new solar parks to its Chile portfolio

Two projects with a capacity of 20 megawatts were acquired from the Finnish investment company Korkia and MoonValley Capital. In addition, Chilean developer and EPC oEnergy Generación Solar Distribuida SpA (oEnergy) is contributing a further 24 megawatts. The portfolio with a total capacity of 44 megawatts will be implemented as part of a joint venture with oEnergy. This brings the total portfolio of Blue Elephant Energy AG (BEE) in Chile up to 161 megawatts.

The projects are distributed across the regions of Valparaíso, Metropolitana de Santiago, Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins, Maule and Biobío. Thus, the projects are a fitting addition to BEE's existing 117 megawatt portfolio in these regions, which is also being implemented with oEnergy. The four projects in Chile are ready for construction and are expected to be commissioned by the end of 2022. (mfo)
