PV Europe’s top products of the week – modules, planning and more

Solyco is presenting a new solar panel with back-contact technology. The model features a shade-resistant cell architecture for installations on partially shaded roofs. The module (R-BG 108nBC.6) reportedly achieves a peak efficiency of 23.5 percent and delivers 480 watts of power.

Kostal has added a visual 2D roof planning feature to its Solar Plan planning tool. The new function is designed to make installers’ work easier and enables more precise planning of solar power systems. With the 2D roof planning tool, installers can reportedly carry out an initial assessment of the roof area.

The solar technology provider Sunoyster Systems from Northern Germany has implemented a pilot project in Lisbon using its lightweight solar modules. Portuguese energy company Galp Energia is testing the modules on a petrol station roof.

The Bauder Solar M 450 from Paul Bauder GmbH is a bifacial double-glazed module that utilises sunlight from both sides, achieving up to 30 percent higher yields. The module was specially developed for use on flat roofs and has a stable aluminium frame. (nhp)
