The material also offers high resistance to chemical corrosion from salts, hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, alkalis and corrosive substances such as zinc chloride and diluted acids. The recommended operating temperature range is minus 60 to 90 degrees Celsius. Under these conditions, the cable ties have a service life of up to 20 years.
Typical applications include cable management on galvanised surfaces or mounting frames commonly used in photovoltaic installations. For easier installation, the one-piece ties feature a locking wedge and a curved, tapered tip that reduces insertion force. According to the manufacturer, nylon 612 offers a cost advantage of around 15 percent compared with comparable nylon 12.
