With the 2D roof planning function, installers can quickly assess the available roof area and present customers with a clear visual preview of the proposed system. Planning is carried out in three steps. First, the roof area is outlined by marking the corners. Next, users specify the roof type, whether pitched or flat, and set the roof pitch. In the final step, modules are selected and positioned on the chosen roof area.
The function uses real satellite images or uploaded plans as its foundation. Additional options, including adjustable module transparency, make it easier to spot restricted areas and correct for any image distortions. By entering accurate roof measurements, inclination angles and module sizes, planners can create a realistic visualisation of the installation early in the project. (nhp)
