The installer twists the hammer head into the lower channel of the mounting rail and then screws the Trapez 6 onto the trapezoidal sheet. Because it is made of EPDM, the fastener reliably reseals the hole cut into the sheet by the screw thread. The Trapez 6 is combined with the proven Trapez 4 fastener, with a Trapez 4 securing the mounting rail at each lateral end of the system and several Trapez 6 units placed in between depending on the load.
The new EPDM trapezoidal sheet fastener accommodates thermal movement and prevents the fasteners from being torn out of the sheet over time. The Trapez 6 is inherently UV-resistant, though the fastener can also be covered with a metal sheet for additional protection. (nhp)
