Intersolar 2026: Schletter to present rafter and agri-PV upgrades

The headline addition for ground-mounted projects is a new rafter system designed around a single-person vertical insertion process. Rather than laying modules from above, the system allows up to three modules to be slid in vertically using pre-mounted, self-securing clamps. Locking mechanisms hold them in position; final bolting can be done from above or below. Schletter says the approach cuts installation time and reduces the number of personnel needed on site. The geometry also maximises rear-side exposure on bifacial modules, reducing rear shading. The system is being shown publicly for the first time at Intersolar; a global market launch is planned for 2027.

Also on show is an extension of Schletter's established 1P tracker for the agri-PV market. The updated system achieves a ground clearance of at least 2.1 metres at tilt angles of up to 60 degrees, a threshold that features in a number of European agri-PV subsidy and approval frameworks. The higher elevation allows machinery and personnel to pass beneath regardless of tracker position, and improves light distribution under the array. The extension will be added to the standard portfolio later this year; project-specific configurations are already available, and early installations are operating in international markets.

On the rooftop side, Schletter is extending its FixGrid Pro flat-roof system for use on green roofs, accommodating build-up heights of up to 35 centimetres via a single additional support component. The core system architecture is unchanged, as are the wind-tunnel-tested aerodynamic properties. The Schletter Creator planning tool is also receiving an update, adding pitched-roof configurations including tile, trapezoidal sheet, corrugated fibre cement and standing-seam variants, with support for different module orientations and rail layouts.

Completing the Intersolar line-up is the PanelClaw Wave flat-roof system, an Enstall brand. The tool-free design dispenses with module clamps entirely, which Schletter says allows installations of around 1 MW per week on large commercial rooftops. An optional anchor system reduces ballast requirements and extends the system's usable range to higher-pitched roofs.

"We want to offer customers the technically and economically optimal solution for every project requirement," says Daniel Rehm, CEO of Schletter. "With our own systems and the broader Enstall portfolio, we cover the full spectrum of PV installation." (TF)
