Mounting systems:

Higher short rails ensure better rear ventilation

The new short rails from Altec Metalltechnik enable better rear ventilation of the solar modules, so that heat builds up less under the modules even at higher outside temperatures and their efficiency is maintained. In addition, the high short rails leave enough space for the installation of power optimisers under the modules.

Altec SD Trafix H45 is used for horizontal module arrangement on trapezoidal roofs, and Altec SD Trafix-V-Select45 for vertical alignment. The short rails are screwed directly onto the high bead of the trapezoidal roof, which speeds up the installation and makes it more flexible.

Since long mounting rails can be dispensed with, the position of the solar modules on the short rails is determined individually. This means that the short rails can be used for any bead width and any module width. By fastening the pre-drilled rails with thin sheet metal screws, no further pre-drilling is necessary, explains the manufacturer. (mfo)
