JA Solar becomes JA in integrated energy rebrand

JA Solar has rebranded as JA, reorganising the company around four business groups as it moves beyond module manufacturing towards integrated clean energy services. The new identity was unveiled at the JAx2026 conference in Shanghai on 2 June. The four groups are JA Solar (photovoltaics), JA ESS (energy storage), JA Green (smart energy) and JA Capital (financing), covering the range from generation and storage through to energy optimisation and project finance.

Liu Shuo, President of JA's Brand and Marketing Center, said the energy transition was entering a new phase. “The global energy transition is shifting from electricity price competition to a value-driven phase deeply integrated into specific scenarios. Drawing on 21 years of solar expertise and our mission to develop solar power to benefit the planet, JA will deepen the green energy ecosystem to make green energy stable, accessible and affordable for every industry, advancing the transition together with global partners.”

The Shanghai conference also featured presentations across solar, storage and smart energy, alongside JA's strategic roadmap for the AI data centre sector, an area the company is positioning as a significant growth opportunity as demand for large-scale clean energy supply grows with the expansion of AI infrastructure.
