Intersolar – Nextpower debuts 2P tracker redesign and adaptive foundations

Nextpower is broadening its European solar portfolio ahead of Intersolar Europe 2026, bringing two new hardware solutions to market that reflect the increasingly complex site conditions facing developers and EPCs across the continent.

Nextpower marks European debut at Intersolar 2026

The company's reimagined NX Gemini two-in-portrait (2P) tracker system is the headline addition, building on five years of operational experience with 2P technology. The redesigned system incorporates row-level control, network communications and weather-response capabilities through Nextpower's established controls and software architecture, while also supporting agrivoltaic operating modes via the NX Navigator monitoring platform. TrueCapture, the company's advanced tracker control technology, will extend to the Gemini system to optimise energy yield.

Foundations for tougher ground

Alongside the tracker, Nextpower is introducing NX Anchor, an integrated foundation system co-engineered for its NX Horizon 1P tracker. Developed specifically for Europe's variable geotechnical conditions, the system accommodates soft, expansive, frost-prone and mixed soils, with all pile types installable using standard equipment. The company says NX Anchor supports higher tracker clearances with up to 70% less embedment depth than standard H-piles and enables installation up to 20% faster, a meaningful proposition in markets where ground conditions and construction timelines directly affect project economics.

"European solar projects are becoming more specialised, and customers need more flexibility in how projects are designed and built," says Yves Figuerola, general manager of Nextpower Europe. "These offerings are designed to provide a comprehensive solution set with more flexibility to help improve efficiency and reduce construction risk."

The two launches sit within a wider strategic push by the US-listed company to consolidate its European presence. With over 160 GW deployed globally, Nextpower has framed the expansion as a response to tightening permitting frameworks, evolving land-use priorities and growing demand for agrivoltaic configurations across European markets. (TF)

Both products will be on show at stand 580 in Hall A5 at The smarter E Europe and Intersolar Europe in Munich from 23 to 25 June
