Svensk Solenergi: 1,000 certified PV installers

"I am delighted that the initiative has been such a success," says Anna Werner, CEO of the the Swedish Solar Energy Association. In 2023, around 100,000 solar PV systems will be installed on Swedish roofs. This is a significant increase from 2022 when 55,000 installations were made. To ensure safe and secure installations when the demand increases, the Svensk Solenergi now offers its members free certification of installers.

„Solar energy is the power source that can be expanded in the shortest time and can reduce electricity prices here and now. However, it is important not to compromise on safety and quality of the installations“, says Anna Werner.

„Well-executed PV installation and a safe workplace“

In order to ensure that the installations of solar PV systems continue to take place safely, the Swedish Solar Energy Association has also produced a list of tips for current and potential solar PV owners.

Svensk Solenergi also requires that all installing member companies have at least one certified fitter from the turn of the year 2024/2025. The industry association has also drawn up a new guideline for final documentation for solar PV installations to private individuals.

„Through the certification, we want to highlight the solar PV installers who can prove their competence in the various parts of the profession. A well-executed PV installation and a safe workplace must always be a matter of course“, says Anna Werner. (hcn)
