Ireland:

1,5 MW solar rooftop installation at distribution centre

The process which saw the installation of 4420 solar PV panels and 45 km of cabling is now live and providing power to the site in Oldtown.  This site will now generate 1320MWhr/year of solar electricity and reduce carbon output at the facility by 428 tonnes annually.

Solar rooftop installation provides financial benefit to the company

The overall aim of the project is to reduce energy consumption, carbon footprint and the environmental impact in line with Ireland’s renewable energy goals, as well as provide a financial benefit to the company. The project saw Enerpower fully engineer, procure and construct the solar PV project now on site.

The Team at Sam Dennigan said: “We would like to pay tribute to Enerpower who from the outset had a very clear understanding of our requirements and who seamlessly carried out the installation without impact on the company’s daily commitments. We would also like to highly compliment Exemplar Energy Solutions Ltd. who completed the design review and procurement on our behalf.”

Inspiration to other businesses in Ireland to use solar

Luke Deasy, Senior Contracts Manager for Enerpower said: “Enerpower were delighted to work on this project. The site is now up and running and generating clean renewable electricity. This project was completed on time and under budget and during the installation all construction activities had minimal impact on the client’s work” .
