Italy – new grid rules prompt meteocontrol PV solution

From August 5th, Italian PV plants above 100 kWp up to 10 MWp (Medium Voltage) must comply with stricter ARERA (Autorità di Regolazione per Energia Reti e Ambiente) requirements. This new regulation, ARERA resolution 385/2025, which is part of the CEI 0-16 standard, creates an urgent need for operators and installers to ensure reliable grid integration.

Previously, this requirement applied only to larger plants of 1 MWp and above. To facilitate a seamless transition, meteocontrol has introduced a comprehensive, integrated solution. The system, combining a Power Plant Controller (PPC or CCI – Controllore Centrale di Impianto in Italian) with blue’Log, delivers several key benefits. Not least, it enables grid conformity without dependence on third-party solutions or external portals and provides a compatible all-in-one setup that includes the “PF2” controlling feature. (hcn)
