Conexio organises conference on agriphotovoltaics

The combination of agriculture and solar power generation, agriphotovoltaics, is gaining momentum. Suitable technologies are available and farmers have recognised the advantage of double harvesting. Conexio is picking up on this development and is organising a conference for the third time that deals exclusively with the topic of agriphotovoltaics.

The conference organiser, which specialises in energy and solar topics, will hold the conference in Piacenzai Italy from 15 to 17 June 2022. In addition, the lectures will also be streamed online, so that a trip to Italy is not necessary to find out about current developments in agriphotovoltaics.

Submit presentation proposal by 21 January 2022

Anyone who would like to present their project, solution or research results related to the dual use of agricultural land now has the opportunity to submit an abstract and apply to be a presenter. The organiser is accepting presentation proposals until 21 January 2022. In the abstract, the potential reference should describe the significance of their work. Research findings should be new.

The proposal must align with a conference theme. These include systemic approaches. Here, the focus is on building a concrete solution or technology. But also important are the yields among the solar modules. Here, for example, it is about the selection of suitable crops, the influence of shading by the modules and animal husbandry under solar modules. Technical aspects also play a role at the conference. Here, the focus is on the use of different module technologies, data transmission and data analysis, and solutions for mounting systems. Last but not least, the conference will also deal with socio-economic aspects. This is not only about business models and legal framework conditions, but also about the environmental impact and social acceptance. You can find the entire catalogue of topics on the event's website. There you can also submit your summary and presentation proposal. (su/mfo)
