Manufacturer Elevenes has opened Europe's first industrial facility for the production of battery cells made from lithium iron phosphate, or LFP. The production facility in Subotica, Serbia, will manufacture prismatic LFP cells using 100 per cent green electricity.

The Svolt Group, headquartered in China, has now unveiled its new LFP cells. The battery manufacturer also announced plans to increase its global production capacity to 600 gigawatt hours by 2025.
