Liontron presents self-sufficient coffee bike

Liontron's bike provides enough electricity to make coffee all day long via the built-in lithium iron phosphate batteries. The batteries are charged via two solar modules on the roof. The three lithium batteries, each with 100 ampere hours and 24 volts, provide the necessary power. They supply a 2,000-watt inverter from Victron, which converts the battery current into 230 volts and runs the dual-boiler coffee machine and two coffee grinders. Enough energy to make 300 coffees in one day.

Ultra-lightweight solar modules provide electricity

In addition, when the sun is shining, the two flexible and ultra-light solar modules mounted on the roof with a total output of 400 watts recharge the batteries. On sunny days, the modules generate enough solar power to cover the Coffee-Bike's energy consumption of around 300 watts per hour. As a result, the mobile coffee stand can operate self-sufficiently at any location.

Another highlight: if one of the batteries should ever become damaged, components can be replaced easily and without special tools. All components, such as the cells, the electronic battery management system and the Bluetooth module, are screwed together - not glued or welded. (nhp/mfo)
