Scalable battery marks Energy Solutions’ entry into C&I

The concept is designed to extend standardisation and ease of implementation from smaller to larger-scale storage, says EFT Energy Solutions. The system is built around two core components: BYD MC Cube battery modules and an Integrated Control Cabinet (ICC) developed by EFT, which houses the power conversion system (PCS). Control is handled by an internal energy management system, also developed by EFT.

The commercial storage unit supports applications ranging from 501 MWh and 144 kW of power up to approximately 2 MWh and 576 kW. Each system can be configured with one to four MC Cube modules. The ICC accommodates up to four PCS units, each rated at 144 kW, alongside an EMS. Parallel connection on the AC side allows the system to be scaled further. Maximum C‑rate is 0.5 C, corresponding to 1 MW of power per 2 MWh of capacity. (nhp)
