Solar and battery storage supply chains are becoming harder to treat separately, as the two are increasingly combined within individual projects. The goal is to reduce duplicated effort for companies operating across both and to let each industry build on the other’s work rather than develop parallel standards.
Markets moving closer together
Battery electric vehicles are gaining market share across Europe, driving the electrification of the transport sector. Where grid connections offer limited power, high-capacity stationary storage systems are needed to enable fast charging.** In addition, bidirectional charging is becoming standard.
