At a launch event in Frankfurt am Main, LONGi presented the new systems to EPCs, distributors and representatives of the European energy industry. They combine all key components, including EMS, BMS, PCS, thermal management and the patented iCCS safety system, developed in-house within a single integrated architecture. The OmniCube-L233 is a compact, scalable C&I storage solution with 233 kWh capacity and liquid cooling. It is suitable for production facilities, logistics centres and commercial properties, supporting peak shaving, self-consumption optimisation and load management, even in settings with limited space.
LONGi enters Tier 1 ranking as solar-storage integration takes hold
The Hi-MO One Pro is designed for hybrid energy environments in which storage, PV, grid management and backup operation need to be coordinated. With 261 kWh capacity and a modular AC/DC architecture, it supports microgrid and off-grid applications as well as backup times of up to 24 hours, making it relevant for critical infrastructure, charging infrastructure and data centres. LONGi also presented the Combiner Cabinets D5 (grid-connected) and D9 (hybrid microgrids with PV and diesel generator integration).
The integrated iCCS early warning system monitors voltage, temperature, gas formation, valve openings, electrolyte leakage and internal resistance at cell level. Changes in internal resistance can be detected several months before critical thermal developments occur, early gas formation more than 25 minutes in advance, and valve openings several minutes before a potential escalation.
European storage market in transition
LONGi's entry into the European market comes against the backdrop of profound changes in the energy sector. Volatile electricity markets, rising demands on grid stability, growing load fluctuations and increasing demand for backup capability are fundamentally reshaping the role of battery storage in the C&I segment. Solar generation, storage, grid management and load control increasingly need to be coordinated in real time.
KEY 2026 – Longi and JA Solar step up European storage push
"Modern energy systems today require much more than isolated individual components. Solar generation, storage and energy management have to work together as a coordinated infrastructure. This is the direction in which we have developed LONGi ONE for Europe," said Jia Chao, President Europe at LONGi Solar. (hcn)
