KEY - Hithium rolls out modular Power Flexsso easing BESS transport constraints

The new design reduces the need for disassembly and simplifies logistics planning. The 10-foot containerised modules are factory-assembled to accelerate installation and reduce on-site labour, lowering total cost of ownership. As a result, Flexsso supports deployment in areas with limited space or challenging transport conditions.

Bulgaria: 55 MWh battery energy storage system deployed

At KEY in Rimini, Hithium presented results from a large-scale fire test conducted against emerging UL9540A:2025 and NFPA 855:2026 standards in a trial overseen by independent experts from UL Solutions and fire protection engineers. In contrast to conventional closed-door testing, the setup increased oxygen flow to intensify combustion conditions. The 6.25 MWh system was tested with active fire suppression disabled to evaluate passive safety performance. According to Hithium, thermal propagation was contained to the initiating unit, while cell temperatures in adjacent containers remained within safety limits.
