The initiative will be realised through a special purpose vehicle structured as a joint venture, with Tsakos Group holding a 60 percent stake and Metlen holding 40 percent. Under the agreement, the joint venture will develop a renewable energy project in Central Greece comprising a 251.9 MW solar plant coupled with a 375 MWh battery energy storage system.

Investment activities are scheduled to commence in 2026, with completion targeted for early 2028. Metlen’s responsibilities include equity participation, oversight of construction activities and integrating commercial operations into its energy management platform. (hcn)
