Mobile Power - for work, leisure, adventure

Mr Yu, you are presenting a comprehensive range of mobile batteries for practically every application at Intersolar. How did the idea come about?

Bluetti is a brand of Poweroak GmbH, an established battery manufacturer. The idea of producing mobile power storage units is actually obvious with a parent company that manufactures rechargeable batteries. The world is moving away from fossil energies and this trend does not stop with mobile power supply. There is a growing demand worldwide for mobile storage with flexible charging options - including photovoltaics. Poweroak has over 10 years of experience in the development and production of high-quality rechargeable batteries. In Bluetti, experience in the production of high-performance, safe rechargeable batteries merges with the demand for mobile power supply.

How long has the company been on the market?

The roots of our company go back more than two decades. Today, PowerOak operates a total of four production sites with a total area of over 10,000 square metres in China, employs more than 2,000 people and is considered a technology leader in the world of battery manufacturing. Our products are certified worldwide and meet all EU ROHS testing criteria. We always aim to provide our customers with excellent products of high quality. Quality comes first at Bluetti - not quantity. This may sound trite, but it has been our philosophy since the company started.

What storage capacities does your product portfolio include?

Bluetti power storage units start at a capacity of half a kilowatt hour, for light, mobile use in the leisure sector, up to power storage solutions with a capacity of almost 40 kilowatt hours. In between, there are different combinations of capacity and power with maximum flexibility. There is something for every application in our range.

Can the Bluetti offer be broken down into groups for an overview?

In principle, we offer four product groups: Lightweight power storage units with capacities from 500 to 2000 watts, whereby the capacity of all units can be expanded with add-on modules. This is the AC series. It is characterized by manageable dimensions, it is light and therefore very mobile and ideal for camping, travel and outdoor use. The models have various connections, from cigarette lighter to USB to Schuko sockets, which makes it possible to supply different end devices directly without an adapter.

The second group is the EP series, units with capacities from 5000-watt hours, also equipped with various connections, but with more power and capacity, which is why the models from 5 kilowatt hours are equipped with transport wheels. These models can also be expanded with additional storage modules if required.

As a third storage group, we offer the EP home storage units, a modular supply system that provides 39.6 kilowatt hours of capacity in the largest configuration and can supply AC output voltages of 230 or 400 volts at three times 8.7 amps.

The fourth product group is our power generators, consisting of a coordinated power storage unit and portable solar power modules. This makes users independent of the grid and fossil fuels.

What battery technology is used in Bluetti electricity storage units?

We only use lithium iron phosphate batteries.

These are safe, durable, and very tolerant of changing ambient temperatures and different charging techniques in mobile use. Bluetti gives a guarantee of five years, with an expected life span of 10 years and a minimum of 3500 cycles for the small storage units and from 6000 cycles for the larger models.

Can you give an approximate price for a typical medium sized Bluettie energy solution?

For the Bluetti EP500Pro model with 5100 kilowatt hours of capacity and two mobile 350 watt peak PV modules, you can currently calculate at less than one Euro per watt hour. This gives you a self-charging power plant that provides 220-240V alternating current at four outputs and 12V at additional outputs and guarantees a permanently reliable supply of solar power on the road, but also at home. In addition, our generators are quiet, do not entail any follow-up costs due to the constant purchase of fuel and are environmentally friendly.

What energy solutions does Bluetti have in the pipeline for the future?

Our products are continuously being further developed. For example, we have developed a particularly small power storage unit, the Bluetti AC60P, especially for this year's trade fair and specifically for the German market. It has a capacity of 504-watt hours, has cigarette lighter and USB connections, as well as two Schuko sockets, and is loved by German users. As a special treat, this small storage unit is IP65 rated, which means it is water-resistant, making it ideal for rough outdoor use.

Did you miss that? Pioneering energy storage solutions showcased

This development is the result of a survey among our German users who wanted a particularly light and mobile model. Those who need more power can of course expand the model with additional modules, but surprisingly, this was not at all decisive among the target group in Germany. What was important to the users was that the power storage unit is waterproof, small and light.
