Thornova modules drive 10 MW PV plant with composite structures

Thornova Solar has supplied photovoltaic modules for a 10 MW PV plant in Suzhou City, China. According to the company, this is the first installation of its kind worldwide. The project was developed and engineered by Suzhou Freeneep Technology.

The system integrates polyurethane composite frames and mounting structures. Compared to conventional metal-based designs, the materials are intended to provide improved corrosion resistance, a longer service life and lower maintenance requirements.

According to Thornova, these characteristics support stable long-term operation, including in demanding environmental conditions.
