“As the solar industry faces growing demands for transparency, traceability and responsible sourcing, the Solar Stewardship Initiative’s first Buyer’s Guide offers clear, practical steps that empower buyers to put responsible sourcing into practice,” said Rachel Owens, CEO of the Solar Stewardship Initiative (SSI). “By translating SSI’s standards into actionable procurement steps, we enable buyers to meet evolving regulatory and market expectations,” she added.

The SSI Buyer’s Guide is divided into two parts: a public section with practical recommendations for procurement teams, and member-only annexes featuring templates, checklists and sample contract clauses. This structure ensures that both SSI members and the broader industry can benefit from the Guide’s tools and insights, Owens explained. The Guide was launched today at the Sustainable Solar Europe conference in Brussels. (hcn)
