Hail protection is a key selection criterion in Switzerland and in higher-altitude or hail-prone regions, where the applicable location and insurance requirements may call for a correspondingly high resistance class.
The certified modules are glass-glass bifacial designs based on n-type TOPCon technology. The standard on-roof module rated at 415 W reaches an efficiency of up to 20.77 percent, while the Solrif in-roof module D rated at 460 W achieves up to 23.02 percent.
Both variants consist of 96 half-cells, combine 3.2 mm front glass with 2 mm rear glass and are designed for a mechanical load of up to 8,000 Pa. Connection is via MC4 connectors, with a maximum system voltage of 1,500 V DC. (nhp)
