Vitro and First Solar agree to provide more glass for solar modules

Combined with an earlier agreement of around the same volume, this cooperation represents approximately 2.5 billion US dollars in sales over the next 10 years.

Considering the requirements of this expansion, Vitro will invest an estimated $180 million to upgrade one of the furnaces at the plant in Meadville, Pennsylvania, as well in adapting additional existing facilities, to support First Solar's growing manufacturing capacity in the US.
