The new module is built on back‑contact cell architecture, a design that places all electrical connections on the rear of the cell. This eliminates front‑side shading and maximises the active cell area. The result is higher power density, enabling more output within the same footprint compared with the company’s previous modules. Its uniformly black surface highlights the system’s refined, minimalist aesthetic.
Further technical features include improved partial‑shading behaviour, known as “soft breakdown”. This characteristic allows the cell to maintain higher current output even when sections are shaded. The module also shows a lower tendency to develop hot spots thanks to uniform current flow and effective thermal management. Reduced thermal stress is expected to enhance long‑term reliability and extend the module’s service life. (nhp)
