Fire safety:

Bauer Solar product range now has Class 1 fire safety certification

The requirements of the fire protection regulation according to UNI 9177, a country-specific supplement to the type certification according to IEC 61730, are even stricter than the otherwise valid EU standard. Only separately certified solar modules may be used for the installation of PV systems.

In cooperation with the Istituto Giordano, accredited by the Italian government, Bauer Solar of the M10HB, M10HBB, 144M10HB and 144M10HBB series were tested in January and certified with the "[...] classe di reazione al fuoco uno" (Eng. "fire protection certificate class 1"). A distinction is made here between three protection classes: solar modules that meet the requirements of the highest fire safety class 1 with excellent fire protection behaviour may be installed without further proof of the fire transmission properties of the roof materials.

In the efforts of Bauer Solar to be able to offer high-performance and high-quality processed solar modules, this certification is part of the in-house, strict quality control, which is reflected in an output and product guarantee of up to 30 years and which only benefits the Italian solar market, but the entire product range available in Europe - including the BS-M6HBB-GG series.
