Matua will be used in three key areas: as an assistant for end customers and installers, as an agent to optimise electricity procurement and consumption, and to improve generation and consumption forecasts. The AI is fully integrated into Kiwigrid’s energy platform.
According to Kiwigrid, AI-powered analysis enables significantly more accurate forecasts of electricity generation and consumption at building level. These serve as the basis for more reliable grid-level predictions, supporting targeted grid expansion and predictive maintenance. All data processed by Matua are stored in compliance with data protection regulations in data centres located in Germany.
