Solar roof tiles open up a new potential for solar constructions

The in-roof PV panels are laid directly on the roof truss, just like conventional roof tiles. Thanks to the patented Solrif® mounting system from Ernst Schweizer AG, they integrate smoothly into the roof cladding and replace classic tiles. "The result is a solar roof cladding that looks smart, produces electricity and is as weather-resistant and rainproof as a conventional tile roof," explains Bianca Grau, Production assistant at the aleo factory in Prenzlau, Germany.

This makes the in-roof panels the ideal alternative to conventional tiles - for both new buildings and roof renovations.  Especially if the static is a concern because a rooftop solution is too heavy for the structural integrity of older roof trusses, aleo´s in-roof system is worth considering. Furthermore, the system offers new perspectives in cases where the townscape needs to be considered, even on listed buildings.

Financing the solar roof takes a relatively short time. The homeowner saves on roofing costs and, in the long run, gets a more sustainable solution with aleo´s in-roof PV system than with tiles and a rooftop system.

With the in-roof system, architects and solar engineers have a complete freedom of design. It can be realised as a full or partial roof. Thanks to blind modules, a particularly homogeneous appearance can be achieved. Skylights, chimneys, ventilation pipes and other recesses can be integrated perfectly and very easily.

"Many solar installers are positively surprised how simple, easy and fast our roof-integrated panels can be installed with the Solrif® mounting system," Grau continues.

The in-roof PV system is characterised by a long service life thanks to the best choice of materials and high-quality processing - tested and certified.  This is guaranteed by aleo with a particularly comprehensive warranty package: aleo gives a 25-year product and performance warranty on its in-roof PV panels.
