Spain – TrinaTracker powers up two new parks in León

TrinaTracker, the solar tracking division of Trinasolar, has completed the delivery of its Vanguard 1P tracking systems for the Villacé I and Villacé II solar parks developed by Norsol in León. The two plants have a combined capacity of more than 20 MW and began commercial operation in July 2026.

June PV Index: premium modules hit new highs, confidence holds firm

“The involvement of TrinaTracker and Trinasolar in these projects was decisive in meeting our performance and efficiency targets,” says Raúl Martínez, project manager at Norsol. “Integrating the tracking system with the photovoltaic modules has enabled us to optimise energy generation while ensuring a reliable, high-performance solution for both projects.”

Integrated tracker and module

Alongside the Vanguard 1P trackers, both projects use Trinasolar’s Vertex N modules. TrinaTracker deployed customised tracker configurations to suit site-specific conditions and optimise land use. During the implementation phase, the company says it provided technical expertise as well as on-site support.

Gonzalo Baselga, Head of TrinaTracker Europe, sees the projects as an example of a wider industry trend: “Developers today are looking beyond individual components. They are seeking solutions that maximise the long-term value of their assets.” (nhp)
