New generation of inverters for more flexibility and self-consumption

The heart of every photovoltaic system is the inverter: it gets the best out of the sun and supplies households with solar power in the best possible way - fully customised to individual requirements. The proven Fronius GEN24 Plus hybrid inverter is now followed by the Fronius GEN24, the latest Fronius inverter for the home. Almost identical in name at first glance, both products impress with the usual Fronius quality and specific features:

The new Fronius GEN24 impresses as a versatile inverter with an integrated basic emergency power function, the PV Point. In the event of an emergency, a consumer such as a radio or mobile phone charger, or even a small circuit up to 3 kW, can be supplied with single-phase power without additional components via a separate, fused socket. A further step towards independence and energy self-sufficiency.

As a hybrid inverter, the proven Fronius GEN24 Plus, in combination with a battery, enables the storage and consumption of self-generated solar power, even during hours of low sunlight (at night), thus bringing 24 hours of sunshine into the home. Thanks to the additional Full Backup emergency power option, the entire household and even large consumers continue to be reliably supplied with electricity in the event of a mains power failure.

Software upgrade to hybrid inverter

First the PV system, then an overall energy solution: the Fronius GEN24 becomes a hybrid inverter in next to no time, including an optional full backup emergency power option and the option to connect to a battery storage system. This is made possible by Fronius UP.storage, the innovative software upgrade from Fronius. This makes the Fronius GEN24 sustainably future-proof and thus a constant companion on the individual path to the energy transition.

Whether hanging, lying or at a specific mounting angle, whether installed indoors or outdoors - the Fronius GEN24 can do it all and offers full design flexibility even under challenging conditions.

Focus on sustainability

The Fronius GEN24 impresses with the already prominent features of Fronius inverters, such as the active cooling technology for sustained high performance even at high ambient temperatures or the open system architecture, which enables easy integration of additional components such as home automation systems. In addition, individual components can be easily replaced and serviced if required. This keeps both resource consumption and the CO2 footprint low, which is confirmed by the inverter’s life cycle analysis (LCA). (mfo)
