Hydrogen:

A standard electrolyser for green hydrogen

The EL 4.0 is the now fourth generation of the patented AEM electrolyser, with a so-called anion exchange membrane, which Enapter has been developing since 2017. It is lighter, smaller and certifiable according to ISO 22734. This green hydrogen technology uses less expensive materials such as steel instead of titanium and combines the advantages of alkaline electrolysis with the flexibility and compactness of PEM electrolysis. The standardised modules can be assembled for projects of any size - up to megawatt scale, where the Enapter AEM Multicore is then used on the basis of an identical stack technology.

Currently, the series production of the new electrolyser is being prepared at the Enapter facility in Pisa, Italy. The first deliveries to integrators are planned for this summer. (mfo)
